WHAT ARE ENERGY BARS?

Bars are one of the most widespread ways to add carbohydrates and energy to our body during sports. Energy bars are very widespread among cyclists, runners and other athletes in the endurance world, since thanks to their format, they are easy to eat and ration throughout the entire route.

WHAT ARE ENERGY BARS FOR?

During a race the body needs to replenish the energy that is consumed, in order to always offer the best performance. Thanks to the wide variety of types of bars, each athlete can find the model that best suits their nutritional needs. The bars are also an excellent source of amino acids and electrolyte salts, especially in combination with energy gels or isotonic drinks.

WHEN TO TAKE ENERGY BARS?

The ideal would be to take the first bar half an hour before practicing physical exercise, in order to have 100% of the nutrients and carbohydrates ready for the start of training or competition. Once we are on the move, we must consume an energy bar every 30 minutes to avoid suffering drops in performance.
